This is a good idea for a small wedding. The cake is only 2 small tiers but having the roses between the tiers and on the bottom it gives the impression of being much bigger, without having lots of cake left over.

I have a thank you e-mail regarding a cake I did at Christmas:

"Thank you so much for the beautiful cake it looked beautiful and tasted gorgeous thank you so much.

many thanks

Frances Theodorou"

I am so glad she was pleased. The wedding was during the snowy weather before Christmas and quite a hair raising journey to deliver it, but obviously there were some gorgeous pictures taken with a snowy Hedingham Castle in the background.

3 year old Millie's mum sent me this, this morning:

Hi Melanie,

Millie's birthday cake was really delicious & not only my opinion but everyone who has had a slice, including my work colleagues!!

The thicker marzipan & icing combination was so tasty & the double jam & butter icing layers were an unexpected treat!!

You will definitely be receiving our recommendation!!

Kind regards & thanks,

Louise

I had a lovely letter thanking me for a wedding cake:

"Dear Melanie

We wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you for making our wedding cake. It looked beautiful and tasted divine.

Everyone enjoyed it so much that the next day any leftovers were finished off by lunchtime.

Good luck in the future with everything

The Al-Saieghs"

This is the cake:

Here are the modelled sugar bees that 6 little girls made in my dining room this afternoon, with Georgie Godbold as their mentor:

I have been asked to quote for a similar cake to:

It is absolutely gorgeous. I love doing these venetian style masks. I did one for my daughter's birthday two years ago. This year she wants bees!

I had a lovely card from Geoff and Shelley, together with a picture of them cutting the top tier on their cup cake tower. Shelley's dress was amazing, stunning.

They said: "Thank you so much for making us such an excellent wedding cake - it was absolutely fantastic! It more than exceeded our expectations on the day and our guests were very impressed! We cannot speak highly enough of the service you gave to us."

Shelley has already recommended me to another couple so I know they were happy.

I had a lovely card from the mother of the bride thanking me for this cake:

"It looked stunning! You really had captured their ideas of a winter wonderland - it shimmered and sparkled and the snowflakes just seemed to cascade around it."

Thank you Lynn, it is always good to get feedback.
