Well, I moved on 12th October and still my number 01277 840911 has not been transferred to my new address.

I do apologise to anyone who has tried to use it and found that it is not connected. I have a temporary number 01277 840280 on which you can reach me at present. Hopefully I will be able to use that until the original number is in place. Unfortunately there is no signal for my mobile at the new premises so I cannot even suggest you call that.

E-mails will reach me too, of course.

In the meantime I will be showing three of my designs at Debenhams in Chelmsford this Saturday and Sunday, 29th and 30th October. If you would like to see those then do come along. I will have cake tasters and portfolios there too.

We are moving tomorrow to Stock. Our new address will be 10 HIgh Street, Stock, CM4 9BA. All other contact details will remain the same, but over the next couple of days there may be glitches with the new broadband service and the telephone switch over.

If that is the case please be patient, it will be 'business as usual' as soon as possible.

Although this is quite a dark picture I thought I would put this picture on my blog as I have a lot of enquiries for this cake in 3-tiers. It is shown on the main part of the website in 5-tiers.

This was for a wedding a couple of weeks ago at Marygreen Manor.

This is what the bride e-mailed to me afterwards:

Hi Melanie,

Just wanted to say thank you so much for my beautiful wedding cake, it looked great and tasted even better!

This was a wedding cake I made 2 weeks ago; the bottom tier vanilla sponge and the top tier carrot cake. The colour scheme was ivory and mocha so the hand made sugar roses were made in those colours to match the swatch the bride gave me. She was delighted there was some cake left over to take home to feed visiting relatives from New Zealand.

The wedding was at Blake Hall near Ongar.
